the activity of a translator is to make communication possible between two human beings. but not only. the work is to open yourself to what one person is saying, to receive it and allow it to go through yourself, to let your sensitivity and imagination feel the ‘codified’ message, and give it back to another person, allowing them to feel what they would had felt without your ‘mediation’. it’s a not easy task, based on the translator’s sensitivity and imagination.
